More retiring sets

I would advise getting the Hello Doily background stamp before it retires, this is so nice and easy for a big background. Will love and keep mine as long as I am stamping. I used various ink colors on Whisper White with the sentiment from Chere Amie (the French version of the Hello Friend set, also retiring).

Operation WH Cards

The theme at Stars and Stamps blog for Operation Write Home's midweek throwdown is for a masculine Thinking Of You card. Supplies are retired Stampin' Up. The other cards (except for the Christmas one which is for later) will go into my next box for the troops.

Petite Petals

I love the Petite Petals stamp set and punch, it is so easy to work with. The first card is a very simple one where I used the flower stamp repeatedly in Espresso ink for the background. Apothecary Art and framelits dies for the sentiment with espresso baker's twine.
The second uses the Hexagon die with Summer Starfruit and SAB designer paper and Petite Petals.
The third stamp was a Goodwill find that I had to have since this is my favorite Psalm. Whisper White cardstock with Framed Tulips embossing folder and baker's twine (non SU).

Friends Never Fade

All supplies are Stampin' Up! Hardwood background stamp in Baked Brown Sugar and Espresso ink, Friends Never Fade for sentiment, Petite Petals and coordinating punch, leaves Sizzlits die for greenery.
We spent a wonderful week on Oahu, best vacation ever! We stayed in Waikiki Beach half of the time and the other half on the North Shore. Visited Pearl Harbor, somewhere I have always wanted to go and pay my respects. Hiked to the top of Diamond Head for a beautiful view of the island (picture above). Ate way too much but did so much walking it almost balanced out. You may be seeing some tropical inspired cards coming up since I am still feeling the aloha spirit!

Spring Cleaning!

WAY overdue in my stamp room clean-up. I would have posted some before pictures but I was too embarrassed. Yes, it was that bad. I still have a way to go but I did get my window shelf neatened up a bit. I removed all of my SU markers from their plastic cases and put them in a silverware organizer, Copics are in a wine rack. Punches organized by most used status, buttons and doo-dads will go into glass jars, picket fence planter will hold my completed cards.
I worked on sorting all of my designer paper pieces and scraps of cardstock this past week and have made quite a lot of progress.

My favorite Psalm

This is my favorite of all of the beautiful Psalms. I get such comfort and inspiration in the knowledge that every day is a new beginning to be rejoiced in. The sentiment is from ODBD's Happy Birthday set and is for the Operation Write Home and Our Daily Bread Designs challenge to use insects.
I had this piece of rainbow brayered (on glossy) cardstock in my misc. paper box. I think the wheel was called something like Bugs and Blossoms, the die cut butterfly is Memory Box.

Bunny Ears

This is for my sister who is famous for biting the ears off of everyone's chocolate bunnies at Easter. She forgot to cover her tracks the first time she did it and it didn't take our Dad long to figure out who the culprit was. She was the only one of us with a big space between her teeth. After this Sherlockian discovery, she would bite it and then shave off the edges with her bottom teeth. We tease her about this every Easter!
I cut an oval card from Baked Brown Sugar and white embossed it with the old jumbo Doodle wheel, Easter Bunny in Chocolate Chip embossed in Espresso, Ears To You from SU single stamp, rose from Artisan Embellishment kit, lace is non SU.
