Miracle Of Christmas

I was talking to my sister last night and she told me that Mom once told her that she never sent out a Christmas card without the baby Jesus on it. I made this especially for her in memory of our Mom, may we never forget the true meaning of Christmas that she taught to us so long ago.
The stamp set is SU's Miracle Of Christmas, sweet treat cup has some cut up raffia in it. Glitter paper scallop frame and ribbon to embellish.
This is a case of Pat Smether's.

Teacher Gifts

I thought Starbucks gift cards would be a good idea for teacher's gifts this year. You can't throw a rock around here without hitting a Starbucks, I have two in walking distance. Even if the recipient doesn't like coffee, (say what?), there is always tea, cocoa, yummy baked treats, sandwiches, etc.
This is a great way to use up the designer paper you all have laying around. Beneath the paper is a jumbo Hershey's Symphony bar. Wrapped in a large cello bag and secured with a tie and red ribbon.

Precious Prints

Handprints, footprints, fingerprints? All three!
Simply make a tight fist, keeping the pinkie close as you can to the palm and ink the whole side of the the palm/heel and press to paper to make the foot. Fill in the toes with your fingertips with the same ink. I used Versamark pink grapefruit chalk ink for mine. I know black ink would look more realistic but I wouldn't recommend that since it is so hard to get off of your skin. All other supplies are Stampin' Up. I dyed the very vanilla seam binding ribbon in Blushing Bride ink.

Winter Wonderland

More Virtual Stamp weekend samples.
The first card uses Poppy Parade, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla cardstocks. I stamped the sheet music from MFP in chocolate and then the Pines and Poinsettias from SU in Real Red craft. Large poinsettia is from the Spellbinders Nestabilities set. Added chocolate satin ribbon and sentiment label (Beautiful Season).
The second card uses the frosted technique, which is a first for me. Not sure I like the result, I'll have to try this a few more times with different color inks. This one uses Fabulous Florets in Ruby and Garden Green sten stamped over in white craft and schmeared ink. Tulips frame embossing folder for edges.

Virtual Stamp Night

It's Virtual Stamp Night (weekend) at Splitcoast with a theme of Winter Wonderland.
The first card uses the Lovely as a Tree pine embossed in pewter with various snowflake dies and punches. Sentiment is from a retired SU Christmas set (it had triangular retro trees in it, can't remember the name but I use this sentiment a lot this time of year).
The second card uses the very old SU Button Bear which I like to bring out every few years since he's so cute. I made a "quilt" using the Top Note die and the Lattice Squares embossing folder.

Sketchy Snowman

I had a lot of trouble with this sketch layout from SCS today, I guess that's why they call it a challenge! I used my newly won snowlady image from Impression Obsession with Stampin' Up cardstock and paper, lace ribbon and pearls. Embossed Real Red panel with snowflake folder. (Northern Flurries?)

This card uses a gingerbread house from Inkadinkado embossed in Creamy Caramel craft with clear powder. The candies at the top are SU's Sweet Holidays, the sentiment is from To You and Yours. Ribbon , cardstock and embossing folder are all by Stampin' Up also. The snow glitter on the bottom is by Martha Stewart.

Gingerbread House

I used the Sweet Holidays set from Stampin' Up for the sentiment and the gingerbread set from Martha Stewart with her drippy goo punch and snow glitter for the ground.

Sweet Stocking

My favorite new toy is this Stampin' Up stocking die. There are so many fun possibilities and it's such a time saver from when I cut these out by hand. I used Real Red cardstock and embossed the snowflake wheel with white powder. The gingerbread man is also by Sizzix (not SU), stamp set is retired Sweet Holidays. A hanger was attached to make this an ornament that will probably go on my fireplace.

Stampin' Craft Ink Spots Quilt

This is a card I had just finished up the other day to go into my next card shipment for the troops and thought it would work for today's Splitcoast challenge. I used the SU color spots to make the blocks and then embossed the whole piece with the lattice squares folder. The stitched lines were from the SU jumbo wheel that I cut apart into individual strips.
I know that this image is from SU but I don't know the name of it since it was from a wish rak. If anyone knows, I'd love to fill in the right info for the category.

Sparkly Snowman

I love sparkle so I thought I would try my hand at yesterday's Splitcoast glitter painting tutorial. I used an adhesive sheet with a Lasting Impressions brass snowman template. Get a load of that hat! I poured glitter (Stampin' Up and Martha Stewart) carefully into each area of snowman and pressed it down, removed template and covered remaining area in crystal glitter. Paper and cardstocks are by SU.

Another project using the SU Sizzix stocking die. Boots in Basic Black. I covered them in Versamark and then clear embossing powder so they are shiny. Cuffs are embossed with Lattice Squares embossing folder. Cherry Cobbler ribbon to hang and poinsettia die from Spellbinders.

I cased this cute idea from Michelle Suit on Splitcoast. Sizzix stocking die in Creamy Caramel, edges inked in Tangerine Tango. Old retired SU ribbon, large brads, yarn for mane, poinsettia die cut with rhinestones to embellish. Jumbo candy cane for stick, a great gift treat holder!

The Great Pumpkin

One of my favorites from a few years back, I used Stampin' Up pumpkins and sentiment with a Snoopy image from the internet that I cut out and put in the pumpkin patch.
It wouldn't be Halloween without watching the Peanuts classic "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". We looked forward to that each year when we were kids, back in the day before even videotapes. That and the once a year showing of The Wizard Of Oz. Never missed that one either :)

Just Buzzin' By

For the Hope You Can Cling To breast cancer awareness card drive and for today's SCS sketch I used the Stampin' Up set Just Buzzin' By with Beau Chateau paper and soft Suede and Pink Pirouette cardstock. The challenge called for us to save the boo-bees. Schedule your mammogram today!

Sock Monkey

I think you could send this birthday card to anyone, young or old, unless they really hate sock monkeys. All supplies are Stampin' Up: Sock Monkey stamped in Canvas background and then cut out. I filled in the arms and legs with white gel pen and added the hat and balloon. Sentiment is from Create A Cupcake. Cardstocks are Kraft and Real Red with some retired SU dsp.

Beautiful Season Blue Bird

I made this little guy a blue bird to fit in with today's SCS color challenge of Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, and Rich Razzleberry. Colored the image in Copics, used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and some retired SU twine. It was a happy accident when the sentiment label perfectly continued the branch on the main image. Don't you love it when a plan comes together (even if you didn't know about it?)

Snowmen

I love this color combination for holiday cards, Baja Breeze, Real Red, and Whisper White. I won this cute set called Let It Snow from Impression Obsession on a blog hop recently. The embossed background is a Sizzix Stampin' Up folder.

For the Hope You Can Cling To challenges at Splitcoast supporting breast cancer awareness to make a pink collage, I used this Inkadinkado image in Regal Rose with a Postage stamp set (maker unknown), a musical score background in Preety In Pink ink on Very Vanilla cardstock with some holly from Bells & Boughs. Vanilla taffeta ribbon was died with Pink Pirouette reinker. Vintage Postcard sentiment also used.

Garden Silhouettes

I used Kraft and Whisper White cardstocks, Garden Silhouettes and Fabulous Florets stamp sets, and Nestabilities frame and poinsettia dies. Time to clean up the stamp room!
