I have been organizing my designer paper and card stocks and came across this retired Stampin' Up! Kaleidoscope paper and it just seemed so springlike to me. Made a super basic and simple basket out of 12" x 1" strips. Easter is so early this year I need to get a move on :)

Welcome to Making the Most of it Monday! I don't know about you but I always feel a little bit guilty when I only use a product once (or it gets set aside and totally forgotten about). It's always fun to see how many different looks that you can get from the same stamp. These are all similar today but the differences are more noticeable in real life, up close.
All cards use the Technique Junkies Vintage Botanicals Collage stamp, Palettini collection.
On the first I used Yupo paper with Tim Holtz distress oxide inks of Wilted Violet and Broken China. Spritzed with water and then added some brushos color crystals in purple and ultramarine. Colored in flowers and butterfly with Copic markers, added some white gel pen highlights and Wink of Stella to bee wings.
The second card is SO much prettier in real life. I found this Technique Junkies Stained Glass tutorial that uses Nuvo embellishment mousse. Mother Of Pearl was used for this card and I have to say that this one is my favorite. The color is beautiful and looks a bit vintage. Tim Holtz distress markers used to color.
The third card was made with Whisper White cardstock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Prismacolor pencils used to color and background colored with Copics. Dry embossed borders with Tim Holtz folder.
I would love to hear which one is your favorite!

To celebrate Barbie's birthday today with the challenge over at Splitcoast stampers. I have some Barbie images somewhere but didn't want to tear the place apart looking for them today so I went with the closest other thing I had that would work for this theme. This is a Julie Nutting Prima doll stamp- Megan. Paper pieced her dress, gel pen glossed her boots, added bling and gemstone swirls. Creative Imaginations designer paper on a Crumb Cake base. Sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

I am mostly Irish on both my mother and father's side (with some Welsh, French, and German thrown in there). I think we are good strong peasant stock or something :)
I love St. Patrick's Day and always celebrate it, I may even be better at sending cards then than I am for most holidays or special occasions. Maybe because there is a lull around March and I can actually get things mailed out in time? Who knows.
The vintage image is designer paper from Authentique found at my local scrapbook store in Edmonds, Wa. I found some fairly old Stampin' Up! designer paper in olive and what looks like celery or mellow moss that I used for the layout on a Crumb Cake card base. Embellished with some crinkly ribbon and sequins. Colored the narrow ribbon with ink pads for the green.
For The Card Concept Challenge found HERE to use monochromatic green.
